"Heart Beat"


I clearly hear something
In the distance.
A steady beating, so far away,
But so clear.
Crisp. Sharp. Persistant.

Now it's getting closer.
Now ringing in my ears.
It's a heart beat. Burning.
Stinging. Persistant.

The one I love
Is drawing near.
But I can't take it.
My head pounding,
my body shaking.

I have to run.
Get away from my love.
For the closer he gets,
The more it hurts.

I turn and run.
Don't look back, can't
Look back. I can't
Look him in the eye and show
I'm not strong enough.

Once we (my friends and I) were at a lock-in for our church youth. We decided to prank call people. So my friend Katelyn tried pranking my ex... He figured out it was her, then she said that I wanted to talk to him. So I got the phone and he asked, "Watcha want? whatcha want?" I smiled, "what I want what I want?" He said, "Yeah, whatcha want whatcha want?" Then I replied, "I'll tell ya what I want, what I really really want!" I hung up the phone and all of us started laughing our heads off! Great moment...

Last summer, my friend Brittany & I were chalking her driveway. We'd filled up most of it, but our hands were getting tired. Her parents were getting home soon, and we wanted to suprise them with it all. She didn't have a crayola chalk rake, so she decided to make her own. She got a rake, duct tape & chalk. Ha, she stuck the chalk in between the prongs and taped them on. In the end, it actually worked! And we got done in time, because her parent's got home right when we finished :)
