Save the Amazon...
How do you feel about Ecotourism in the Amazon?
I myself am torn here. Because a part of me feels like...the key to keeping anything is preservation. And how do you preserve something by interrupting its natural state, I guess. (And the Amazon already is under so much danger, SO MUCH DANGER, from all the deforestation, the land clearing to make room for the cultivation of soybean crops (it's staggering how much of the Brazilian rainforest has been chopped down for soybean farming), all done through bulldozing, scorching (slashing and burning), and by the crooked teeth of chainsaws. The Amazon is in danger, so much so that in decades to come, all that may be left are grasslands, one big savannah.) This part of me asks, What good can come from human touch? and this includes the building of hotel lodges in the Amazon region...
