For those of you who ask about my tattoos, I have five in total.
The first one I got a few years ago and is a small fleur-de-lys on the top of my right arm. The literary fiends out there will already know what it symbolises, but for those of you who don't know it's the mark of a wicked woman.
I got my next tattoo the following year, and had my tramp stamp done....or lower back. I never did get into the whole tribal scene, but I was inspired by it. The actual pattern is taken from a book on 17th century furniture, and was an inlay on a table leg !!!!
I had a break for a couple of years, but the stomach tattoo followed in 2007. My inspiration came from the Art Nouveau movement, but I wasn't too sure what to have done so my tattooist designed it and I am very pleased with the outcome.
My shoulders were tattooed in late 2007, I'm fed up with people assuming that the tramp stamp means I'm a certain type of girl so I went a step further and had the design copied, flipped upside down, and extended to complete another intricate style. (I still may have the rest of my back done, but I haven't decided yet).
After a few discussions with my tattooist, we came up with the leg design which was completed early 2008. It is the most painful tattoo I've had so far, for some reason the needles really hurt when they go over my muscles...so I'm sticking to the bony parts of my body from now on.
I'm now taking a little break from the ink whilst deciding what to do next. I like the theme I have going, but I don't want to ruin it by overcrowding my small frame. I'm thinking of something fine and delicate on my right foot, but it will be up to my tattooist to decide.
Lucky I trust the man...but then I am his creation now !!
