I have been very bad and not been around much this week. A close friend of my family passed away early this week so I've been feeling rather anti-social. Sorry about that. <3

Well, as you can see down at the bottom of the pictures, I've had most of the shading done on my back now. I think it's really coming together now that you can see the depth to it. I was starting to feel like a colouring book picture there.. a little flat with just the outline. Will be at least a few weeks before I can get the shading finished.

While under the needle this last time, I found myself waxing rather philosophical about the intimate relationship that can exist between a tattooist and a client. I don't believe myself so naive to assume that this is the case with every artist.. or every piece of work that they embed in someone's skin, but it has become very true for me with two artists at least.
