Have just found out that one of my dearest friends has had a serious motorbike accident. It happened 4 weeks ago. He was hit by a van and was in a coma for 11 days and very nearly died. He is now in the brain injury unit and will be for sometime to come. News of his accident have only just filtered through to friends. I spoke with his mum earlier who said it was probably for the best I knew now that is on the mend rather than when it was touch and go. Of course she is right. Friends are precious and times like this should make us all realise how precious. Ian is like a brother to me and the thought that he could have died fills me with huge sadness.
Maybe call your friends and let them know how much your friendship means as life is short and can be taken away from us at any time.
