Once was there a man, bold as brass, loving working as a salesman, yet so sick of life that he was cynical about every plan anyone attempted to mention. One day he chose to meander slowly down the street towards work in the middle of a summer’s afternoon, he decided he’d take a small detour past the cesspool of a pub frequented by morons and criminals alike. As he got close he caught the scent of the “special” ales they served. Smiling as he drew closer as the scent turned more to a stench, the outline of drunks stumbling round the street. He finally reached the opening used as a doorway into the dank and dirty room of ye olde house, manoeuvring round the yokels chatting in small groups scattered throughout, never acknowledging this newcomers presence. When he eventually reached the bar the shape behind it was already pouring a glass of something as though he knew the drill, looking round fixing its gaze
