my cny holiday is half-over.. i say half because i've been on a nonstop holiday since i graduated on 3rd nov 07. i'd wanted to get a job but my parents'd disagreed, so i ended up staying home everyday, reading (well, trying to but actually wasting a lot of time at facebook and on playing the sims 2).

i just discovered a comfortable little cafe near my home, where i'll definitely bring my cousins to dine when they visit in 3days. it's in the style of the hippest hangouts for local teens-- cushions on floors, low tables, dim lighting etc. but the attraction to me is the food, which is quite affordable and pleasant-tasting. i say pleasant-tasting as the food isn't exactly to-die-for, but it's yummy enough to leave an impression, not that i have the world's most developed tastebuds.

however, all those cny dinners and snacks have taken their toll on my figure and skin. though i'm not heavier, i look bloated and my skin is bumpy and irritated. argh! but i did a good job in sticking to my usual diet compared to the previous years. haha!

i still love cny, still love receiving angpaos. all those money makes me more generous. the only time i belanja people is during cny when i have money to spare. i enjoy spending my angpao money at the rather crappy shopping mall in my parents' hometown.

this may be my last local cny for a long time. if i commence to study abroad, i may not see my sweet ahma for 4years. darling ahma who gave me $500 despite not being wealthy herself. love everybody! except maybe my mum
