Today is a very good day indeed! Not only is it a Friday - the best day of the week - but I have also found out my son has got into my top choice primary school (not an easy feat as some parents will know!), I have just gotten security clearance to start my new job (which has taken weeks to come through) and have been offered an interview for an even better job (one that I have been after for months!). Woohoo! Celebrations tonight!

I need to get back into singing!! Since leaving uni seven or so years ago I got married, became a mum, got divorced and, in the process, stopped virtually all musical activity (bar nursery rhymes to the little one and occasional singing whilst doing the housework!). I need to get back up on a stage and flex those vocal chords (and kareoke doesn't count, nor would I want to do it!) any devonians know of local bands looking for female singers/backing vocalists???? I would so LOVE to be part of a band again!

Vintage Zip - Oh my gosh is this or is this not the most sexiest guitar!? I have wanted one of these babies for about a year. I don't know if the pic shows but it is a gorgeous sparkly silver. Plays really well too!! One of them hangs in the local music shop and from time to time I will go in and have a little play. One day I might even buy it! But for now I wil stick to my Fender Squier which is not so bad at all anyway (but unfortunately not technically mine as it is on loan from my brother!).
