Cristobal Huet, the once #1 goalie for the Montreal Canadiens was traded to the Washigton Capitals this past tuesday, to the dismay of all Hab fans!! Many of us are still in complete disbelief and shock at such an unexpected trade!!! The worst part for us fans is that we didn't get to say our farewells...
When someone moves, or leaves the office for another job for example, we throw a party, sign a card, make a speech etc., we get to say our farewells and put some sort of closure to whatever bond we had with that person. In this case however, the departure is announced and bam! he's gone!! We don't get to express how much he meant to us. It's so sudden and difficult for many of us to accept! The healing will take time but the sweet memory of Hab goalie Cristobal Huet #39 will be with us forever...

I just got back from my daughter's semi-final tournament hockey game, and what a game it was! My daughter's team tied the game at one with just less than a minute left to the game. Then the three minute overtime was scoreless, and it was shoot-out time. Yep, I have bragging rights here, my daughter who was one of the shooters scored the game winning goal!! Finals tonight at 6:15!
