Its been a nice friday. Started out real early for me. Woke up brushed up and wet my hair a little. Getting mentally ready for my session. As i walked out of the house.. this huge cold breeze came through. I was like wow.. its going to be a bit cold and windy out. So i get to the park and start jogging to warm up my body for 8-10 minutes. Did about 2000meters/5 laps around olympic track. Stretched out a bit more for 5 minutes.. did some dynamic stretches too and got ready for my 50 yard runs. Did 50 yards -10 reps.
Rested for 3 minutes and stretched more. Did my 100 yard runs -5 reps.
Then since the length of a soccer field is 100yards long. I did in pyramid sets. 100, 200, 300, and 400 yard runs. After each run i rested for a 30 seconds. The started again with 400, 300, 200, and 100 yard run. To finish off the runs part of the session.
Did some more stretches because your flexibility does help with your speed.
Set up 4 stations of coordination and footwork drills.
Hops, jumps, sloloms, change of direction, and the ladder.. All short sprints. Working on reaction training... Did that for 15 minutes and worked on my situps. 7 sets of 40 situps with the core plank exercise holding 30,45,and 60 seconds long for core!
Came home and rested up.. was in need of some food and lots of water.
Had some vitamins and showered .. nice hot shower to end the morning. It was 9am by the time i had done all this. I think the hardest part of the morning is definitely waking up.The best part of the morning is finishing your training with satisfaction.
The earlier the better. Remember when everone else is sleep or doing other things .. thats when we have to be working extra to surpass the normal athletes.
Become better... it all depends on how much work we put into ourselves.
