Well it's been 13 days since Alex passed....and 10 since my surgery.....I am slowly healing and picking up the pieces. I'm exhausted but I'm alive. I decided that I want and need to have a pet to love....and I found this wonderful 3 year old kitty whose owner is moving and has to get rid of her because her boyfriend is allergic. She will come to me on March 22nd...I can't wait. Nothing will ever replace Alex, but I am going to love my new kitty with everything I have! :)

On March 1st my beautiful girl kitty, Alex, got very sick and I had to put her to sleep. I am inconsolable and beyond devastated. She was my little girl who I loved as much as I would have loved my own child.

It's so empty and cold in my home without her. My heart is broken. I can barely stand this sadness. So if I'm not around or not interactive, it's just that I'm struggling right now...with both the grief and loss and recovering from my hysterectomy.

Well....this is kind of personal, but I need all the good luck wishes and prayers I can get.

On Monday, March 3rd I'm having a total hysterectomy and I am just going through a lot, both physically and emotionally.

I'll be in the hospital for a few days and then I will be home recuperating. So if I am not around, that's why.

Sigh...trying to be positive, but feeling pretty beaten down...
