So, I'm in Taiwan working at the moment, it's pretty good. The taiwanese bloke I'm working with is sound and has driven me everywhere and paid for practically all my meals, it's great :) This week he kept encouraging me to try some "taiwan chewing gum" which turned out to be something resembling an acorn (I think it's from a sort of palm tree) wrapped in a palm leaf. You're supposed to take off the leaf and chew on the acorn thing, to release the juicy goodness inside. If you've ever been curious enough to try eating an acorn, it tastes just like that. VILE!
The appeal is lost on me, though it may have something to do with the people who sell the "chewing gum" - Young women in their underwear basically. lol
