Oh my... that's the kind of 'field-work' that I like!
It sounds like you've an awesome 'job', for want of better word... I wouldn't call doing something that you enjoy a 'job'... I used to live next door to a lady who would be away for weeks or months, on archaeological digs etc, and the items and stories that she would come home with were just amazing. She worked for the museum here. Certainly something that has always caught my curious fancy!

Ah, fieldwork you'd appreciate, poking around cemeteries, recording data from graves. I've spent the last year in and out of one necropolis after another...
