Well, here we are, 1000 years later and I'm still alive... Susan is still incredible...and all of you aren't thumbing my page...LOL
I was thinking back to the summer of 1985 when I met Susan, and realizing what an innocent dork i was. When all my friends were having sex with their respective partners, I was in the "holding hands" and kissing stage of my life... of course, that time in 85 would have just been sullied by an adult act like sex...
I can't hear Bryan Adam's "Heaven" without thinking of her, and recalling the pizzaria, the walk to Comox and Courtney... the smell of the ocean... the late night jogs... all made so very special by her presence.

I'm glad I was a dork then ;-)

Here's a story for everyone...

A long time ago, in a world that seems so far away (Comox, BC, 1985), I met Susan Olynick (who was Susan Haertel back then). We were both in cadets taking a course at a summer camp in Comox, and met each other and fell in love...

alas, like all teen romances, this was was crushed by time and distance (she was in Winnipeg, myself in Smithers BC)...THEN... 2 years ago she found me once more, and we've rediscovered each other, she's amazing, and y'all should find her page and thumb her comments... tell her Tyler sent you ;-)
