For some reason, when i woke up this morning in another cage. i had told my owner that i didn't like cages, why she put me in another one, i don't know!
i tried to remember what had happened the night before...my owner (Joy...no literally, that's her name!) had put me outside for trying to eat Jack again (turtle), he just looked so delicious as he was sunbathing, the soft yellow limbs stretched out on the rock, like dinner on a platter. But, unfortunately...i was caught and sent out the house, i could see Jack laughing as i was shoved out the door. At least i was fed though, even if it wasn't my usual gourmet meal...
I realized something as i was contemplating on the past though...i was not in Joy's room or even in her area!
there was no more trees as far as i could see! (not that i would really see any as i was on the ground), but instead i was in a concrete yard. the cage didn't seem very strong, so i reckoned i could break out fairly easy, but, i realized the walls in this concrete jungle were extremely high. even for me to climb!
Then i had an excellent idea! one i could pat myself on the back for (not literally! cats can't reach back that far.)
i broke out of the cage, and secreted to the door where i expected the cat napper to appear from when they came to feed me. (well they can't just leave me to starve can they?)
Low and behold. a woman finally emerged from the door carrying a bowl of water and some tuna in a saucer. it was rather tempting, but i held my ground, slipping out before she could catch sight of my tail. hurrying, i sprinted to the nearest window and jumped out (on the ground floor). as soon as i was out, i sensed nothing like i had sensed before. a nerve wrecking sense of danger! IT WAS A DOG BEHIND ME!!!
yowling i managed to make it over the fence to the side of the road... i was safe at last!
walking up and down the road, i ignored the growling dog as i contemplated how to get back to Joy.
i froze when a hand grabbed the skin behind my neck and gently lifted me to face its face, i closed my eyes, fearing what would come next. then i recognized the voice... it was Joy!
"What are you doing out here Chester?" she asked lightly, "You're supposed to be inside. I'm sorry i didn't tell you before, but you're staying with my friends for a while, because i have to go visit my mother. i can't carry you, because you know you get car sick...don't worry, Jack will keep you company while I'm gone." and with that she handed me over to her friend and, getting in her car, she drove off.
i thought i was going to DIE!!!
in the end however, Joy's friends treated me like royalty... apparently the reason they had left me in the room without the roof was because they had to tie Max (the dog) and they thought i would follow Joy (Yeah right1 too much work to run after her if my life wasn't in danger! and i hate the car...its a living demon bent on killing me!)
I was in heaven...and i never saw Jack that jealous and i never had an inkling to eat him. (scrawny piece of sh**!)
