One day, he was living on the street
Broke ass motha couldn't buy nothing to eat
Decided he needed money
So he went down to the corner
Opened up his guitar case
A man threw in a quarter
Thought he had what it takes
To become a real showman

And moved to California
When he got there
Everyone ridiculed him
Cuz he was from a Midwest town
Where only 10 people lived
That was until they finally heard him play
And the soul he put into the beats he layed
So his records started selling
And then he started medling
