The rivers edge was like colony of rushing ants looking for dinner as I moved closer. I was troubled by the lack of water as it had been so dry and the riverbed was beginning to show. The shore had receded a few feet and now where there used to be a mighty water way now seemed more like a babbling brook. This disappointed me as this was my usual and favorite fishing spot and now it would be hard to imagine fish here. I took a few moments to remember how it had looked before and knelt down next to a tree and leaned up against it. I was tired. The walk here had been long and exhausting. I was prepared to rest here for the night. But now I would just sit here for now and listen to the the water flowing over the rocks.

Walking down a narrow way
I turn and look behind

To fallen dreams along my course
Where nothing seems to hide

Creating new as life goes on
Leave memories in the past

I want to move on, I really do
I cannot find the next clear path

Confusions taken over me
My mind keeps drawing blanks

I need to straighten out this line
Of sadness and heart aches


I cannot keep my balance
Falling of this perpetual swing

Reaching for stability
But to this motion my life still clings

I grow dizzy of these reoccurs
In time youll understand

My life is a repetitive battle
That relies only on my demands

Held down by a force unknown
Trying to survive
Parting waves to just get home
But where exactly does that lye

Ive lost all sense of reality
I cant tell you truth from lies
I dont know what you did to me
Im more confused with pass of time

Wandering in and out of sleep
Black shadows cross my path
I hide myself in some embrace
What they are I do not ask

I know the fear that follows me
Ive never left it behind
I stray from sleep and try to live
With paranoia at my side

Someone please sooth this discomfort
Please take my night terrors away
My mind can only take so much
I am not sure it will stay

I am clouded by a vision
Of things not yet arrived
Time ahead has not happened
That is where my fears derived

This pauses every moment
Leaves me lost in thought
I ponder of my current route
Whether do stay or distant out

As life keep me in progress
And still I stand here now
I want to take that first step
But I do not know how

So stuck here in the present
As everyone else passes by
Ill take my ground here standing
Ill never question why

Because fear is no more then a set back until life can find a way
