I am short of breath, trembling, have difficulty sitting still, and am having even more difficulty concentrating because of the adrenaline pumping through my body. Why is this you ask? Have I been involved in a fight? No, but it sure feels like it. Have I witnessed some sort horrible accident or seen some sort of miracle? No, but what I have seen has changed my life. Have I had a near death experience? No, although my heart did stop a couple of times. So what has happened to me? Well I just saw what maybe the greatest cinematic masterpiece of all time: RAMBO. These 5 letters in that specific order will be forever be emblazoned upon my psyche, and glimpses of that movie will haunt, no bless my vision throughout the rest of my days upon this mortal coil. In fact at this point I am more then willing to name my child Rambo, if I should ever have a child. Now if I can be serious for just this paragraph, watching that movie has left me totally satisfied, well almost satisfied. It is strange though, while the movie has left me with a big smile on my face and absolute joy in my heart, it has also left me feeling completely inadequate. I look at myself and my life, I realize, I am not that important and haven’t really achieved anything. I know I am comparing myself to a totally fictional character, and no matter what this fictional character does on screen it doesn’t translate into real life, but it has made me reflect on my life, and some of the poor choices I have made. One thing it has really made me reconsider is joining the army, its something I have wanted to do for a long time, and if you ask any of my friends I am sure they will tell you I am very knowledgeable when it comes to anything military: warfare, tactics, weapons, troop formations ext ext, and I feel like I am wasting that knowledge. Anyway back to the topic. So why is this movie that good? Well you will just have to see it, I am not going to describe any scenes, as I am quite liable to have some sort of breakdown in the perception of what is real. This of course could lead me to act out some of the scenes from the movie, the consequences of this would be truly disastrous and horrific for anyone who lives in close proximity to me, why? Well see the movie and find out.

Date 09/01/08 Time:7:14pm Well a couple of hours ago i got to meet Amon Amarth at a signing session, they got delayed by an hour and hanging outside flinders street station isnt my idea of fun but it was worth the wait. When Amon Amarth did finally arrive (5pm) they where greeted with thunderous applause. It did take a while till it was my turn to meet them but once again worth the wait, first off i thanked Alex the drummer for performing last night and he was taken aback by my gratitude "oh well thats quite alright that is kind of our job". When i was coming up to Johan the singer Alex notice the bottle of mead i had and asked what it was "It is aussie mead, just for you guys" i replied "how wants it?" i asked "Give it to him, he loves mead" said Johan as he pointed at Alex. I offered to bottle to Johan and as he took it said "I dint even know they had that down here" he took the bottle looked at me and smiled extended his hand and thanked me, it felt great, the photo session was next and that was a lot of fun with the band joking around. All in all an absolutely awesome day.

Date: 09/01/08 Well its 1:24 am and I have to be at work today at about 6 hours, so what am I doing? Well writing about the concert I just went to, and what a concert it was, it was headlined by none other then those Swedish Viking Death Metal gods, Amon Amarth. I was at the crush at the front of the stage, and although I am sore and smell quit bad it was worth it. Those musical Vikings absolutely owned the stage, and their song? Impeccable, it was just as precise as the ablums but with the energy of 400+ people behind it. The only bad things were 1: It is Tuesday night and 2: I had to pay $50 dollars to get my car released from a parking lot (thank you Dupes and Seabrook for chipping in some money), even these things did not dampen my night though it was a great night filled with great songs coupled with the energy of "True Vikings" as Johan Hegg put it. Now it is time for me to get some sleep.

Date 16 Dec 2007 Time 2:13am Well i just went to the Behemoth concert down at the Corner Hotel in richmond, and describing it with human words is next to impossible. Dawn of Azazel where once again excellent ( i have seen them 3 times now), but Behemoth where, just fucking exceptional, they told us they where giving 200% and i dont doubt it, 300% would be more accurate. They played all their great songs flawlessly, and even gave a 3 song encore, and one of the songs was thanks to me, during the end of the first encore Nergal looked directly at me, i had one finger pointed up and said "one more song!" he looked at me and asked "One more song?" and i replied "One more fucking song!" i have never felt so special, then when things finally started to wrap up, Orion the bass player came up to me and pointed at me with his fist so i held out my fist and he punched it, and i was the only person he did that to. Holy crap that was the best time of my life.
