Sleep,
so far from reach,
Shhh...!!
I listen for a lullaby
Silence.
I stare at nothing.
dreaming only to find
I'm still awake,
I weep, I cry.
Desperation!
I dive deep
into my subconscious.
Do I hear a song?
a lullaby?
Ooh!
tricks the mind plays,
once more it defies
my plea for relief.
Still awaiting my lullaby
as morning comes by.
