I'm so lucky to have a constant owner. My life went all topsy turvy. I live somewhere different, I do completely different work and i'm trying to make new friends.

When I was a little hamster I would play in the bathtub. My 'mom' would set up a rumpled towel, wheel, milk carton, water dish and empty toilet paper rolls. With dry food sprinkled in and around, I could play and collect food to my heart's content.

Some people think hamsters are gerbils. Not true. Gerbils have a long, furry tail and fur on the bottom of their feet. Hamsters have cheek pouches and a short, comparatively hairless tail. Gerbils are also a lot more sociable than hamsters. They enjoy living in large groups. Hamsters are, in general, solitary creatures. We enjoy some company, but we're picky about it and there's definitely a time limit.

Things are good at the Hamster Hut. The busy one stays busy, the fat one gets fatter, the mama keeps track of everyone, and the baby gets cuter everyday!

When I was going through puberty I had the most beautiful 'wings'. When they first started to grow on either side of my butt it just looked like I had a square booty. But soon they lengthened and I feathered them out into the most elegant tufts a hamster could ask for. One on each 'cheek'!
