OBITUARY - MR. COMMON SENSE (Read slowly and carefully something to be learned )



It is with much regret we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who had been with us for many years. We could not determine for sure how old he was since his birth records were lost long ago.

Common Sense will be remembered by many as having taught valuable life lessons like knowing when to come in out of the rain and to remove your hat indoors as a sign of respect for your elder and their values. He always reminded us that as surely as we have 2 ears and 1 mouth, we should listen at least twice as much as we speak, and that although life isn't always fair, it is still good. He also encouraged us to learn to say "I'm sorry" and prove we mean it by never repeating that mistake; at other times we need to say, "maybe it was my fault. I shouldn't have blamed you."

Common Sense lived by several simple, yet sound, financial policies. Don't spend more than you earn. Learn to be content and thankful for the good things you have. Among his reliable parenting strategies were reminers that adults need to learn to be responsible, which is why they, not their children, are in charge. He often expounded on the concepts that we all need to respect proper authority or society would fall into anarchy. He not only repeated but showed us how to live by the golden rule, "Do onto others, as you would have them do unto you."

Reliable sources report that Common Sense has been preceded in death by his parents, Truth and Trust; his wife, Discretion; his daughter, Responsibility; and his son Reason. He is survived by three stepbrothers; I know my Rights, Someone Else is to Blame, and I'm a Victim.

Not many attended his funeral because he had been ill for so long and few even realized he was gone. Never-the-less, if you still remember Common Sense, make a renewed effort to live by the principles he taught us and by all means pass them on to the next generation. If no one does, we will find we live in a society where the majority live as though nothing really matters but everyone wonders, at least once in a while, why nothing makes sense anymore.

LITTLE CHINESE HUMOR


A Chinese couple gets married - and she's a virgin. Truth be told, he is
none too experienced either. On the wedding night, she cowers naked
under the sheets as her husband undresses. He climbs in next to her
and tries to be reassuring: "My darring" he says, "I know dis yo firs
time and you berry frighten. I pomise you, I give you anyting you want,
I do anyting - jus anyting you want. Whatchou want?" he says, trying to
sound experienced, which he hopes will impress his virgin bride. A
thoughtful silence follows and he waits patiently (and eagerly) for her
request. She eventually replies shyly and unsure, "I want... numba
69" . More thoughtful silence, this time from him. Eventually, in a
puzzled tone he queries... "You want... Beef wif Broccoli?
