I wonder what Christmas and my son's birthday is going to be like this year. Everyweek I talk to him on the phone (while he's visiting someone) and quite often he tells me of a new toy he's recieved. Now if I'm not mistaken, there was once a steadfast agreement made that we would not spoil the child. Guess someone forgot that. The child is so used to getting presents on a almost weekly basis that by time his birthday and Christmas roll around there will be nothing left to buy, nor will he really care becaue he could just wait till the week after and recieve something more. Spidermans, green goblins, rhinos, black cats...*sigh....it really doesn't matter, it all promotes violent play. Bubbles, sidewalk chalk, soccer balls and books could be much better choices. But what do I know?

Today I had a wonderful morning with my son. We played some soccer outside and ran around. He's such a little bundle of engery. After he went to his daddy's I took a nap, and had some company over. Other then that, today is pretty uneventful, the way a Sunday should be.

Yesterday I (with some help from a few others) put a computer together for my son. He was so happy. He now believes that he is becoming a grown up because he owns one. Too cute!

Today I had a "picnic" out front of the apartment building with my son. We had fruit with dip and tuna wraps. We drew chalk outlines and a hopscotch. We even drew an outline of the neighbour's dog, but it looked more like a fat bear cub then a dog lol. Miss him already, just two sleeps until he comes home. Love him lots.

Today we went to the Farmer's Market again, and my son bought me a beautiful bunch of red roses. Then we took a trip to a friend's place for a candle party, where her and my son ended up picking up garbage for some late Earth Day activities. He was quite proud of himself. Then we went to KFC and took it too the park for a dinner picnic, which he was quite thrilled to do. Then the long trek home. Now we're sitting relaxing waiting for bedtime, well I'm waiting, he's playing, but I'm sure you get the point :D
