whoa i just realized its been sometime since it last rained in singapore! everyday so sunny, i think there will be a thunderstorm tomorrow. =/

went to bishan stadium to watch the first match for dalian - the new china soccer squad in the s-league. home united versus dalian!



sneaked into the stadium compound with a school children ticket. swee la, $1 for 2 hours of entertainment. like my friend say "cheaper than pool, karaoke and movies arh!" mwaha. we enjoyed ourselves jeering and shouting throughout the match. home united won newcomer 2-1 in the end.

liked dalian's jersey alot. nice blue, reminds me of chelsea. can't believe i can be found in a soccer stadium!

there you are, my second soccer match of my life. mwaha.

190208, sad

this date reminds me of two sad stories. one, i got together with my ex gf on 190204. we broke off subsequently sometime in may '06 but i've since got over that. the new sad thing associated with this date is due to my closest girl friend leaving here for australia for her uni studies.



(pardon the ugly pic. i was trying to act cute. i know, i failed. hahah)

we had the final farewell party for her at kbox cineleisure. she invited some of her closest friends and we really had a good time singing in the big big room. lalala~

we sang till about 4am and left for her place to do some final packing up. soon we were at the airport at 7 for her flight at 9am. took some final photos and she cried. :( well, everybody did.

study hard, bear! we'll be missing you. come back soon!

suntanning at cafe del mar has always been a weekly affair. passing by the songs of the sea and the luge attractions, we always vow to visit them but to no avail... until today.



the luge comprises of two parts- a skyride and well, a ride on the luge. the skyride takes us high up into the sky and down to the luge station where we will drive the luge back to the skyride station. the drive consists of several bands and it's great fun! took the ride again after songs of the sea.



songs of the sea is bound to blow your senses away! fire, lights and water. a brilliant combination that is worth every penny of your ticket price. go see for yourself, wow!

today has really been a great, sunny, lively, fun day. it's been such a long time since i really enjoyed myself like this.

it's post valentine and being love-less, i did not have the greatest time seeing couples, roses, balloons, and simply the smell of love flooding all over this small island the day before. so it was a great welcome break when my hairdresser, george, suggested that we have a little retreat at kota tingi. i leaped with excitement. having lived the past two decades in such a concrete jungle, the idea of visiting a waterfall embraced me totally. i got my best buddy and her boyfriend to tag along.

*fast forward to the waterfall scene

the trip took about an hour from customs, and along the way we were intrigued by the winding roads. very countryside like, a very refreshing experience. soon we reached the site. air has never smelt so fresh, soon we were firing away on our digicams. mwaha.

the waterfall was not as tall as i would liked it to be. still, it was nice to be hit by the rushing water beneath. the water was cold, and we spent a good deal of time just lazing around the waters, talking and laughing heartily.

dinner was at some secluded but crowded restaurant. george told me that the restaurant is frequented by singaporeans and that justified their steep prices. food was good, we ordered chilli crabs, french long beans, steamed fish, tiger prawns and fried rice. they don't serve pork so my favourite pork ribs king was out zzz. total damage was a whopping rm370, the fish alone cost rm90! wow o.O

we checked out at the customs exhausted but satisfied. it's indeed been a great day. :)
