About me:
Bored, so I decided to actually post something beyond threats and snarky comments. I'm a gamer geek to the core, but lately I've expanded my passions to include politics, union activism, and crusading for the rights of the mentally ill and those who care for them. Those 3 things are basically all intertwined, as I work as a mental health counselor at an agency that is represented by SEIU local 509, a fast growing and politically savy union. Mental health is a topic that is stigmatized, marginalized, and generally ignored. I may be a poor champion for the movement, but I try. When not butting my head against the wall fighting for my causes, I enjoy cooking, trying new restaurants, the occasional Friday night jaunt out drinking and dancing (preferably at the Skellig in Waltham, my favorite bar), and most anything sci-fi, fantasy, or D&D related (once again, major geek). I've also taken to hitting the gym about 5 days a week to help manage job stress, which I unfortunately have a considerable amount of. Other than that, just living life and dealing with realizing that I'm finally growing up (if not necessarily growing old) as I draw ever closer to the wrong side of 30.

Honestly, I stopped making rules about who I should be interested in a long time ago. But if you want to get my attention, show you're interested in me. I'm told this may take a whap upside the head with a cluehammer(tm), but I'm willing to give just about anyone a chance once I know there's attraction, and the ego boost is a big plus ;-)
