I got my exam results today: Passed one, Failed one (by 3 points). I've already scheduled my do over exam for the end of next month so I guess I'll have to put my student hat back on (for a little while at least). I'm so looking forward to a relaxing weekend as I've started riding to work again - well part of the way anyways - and my body just isn't used to it. I've been riding with my backpack on but am thinking I might go looking at Paniers (sp?) this weekend. I've been loving watching Le Tour de France (except the bit where I have to stay up til like 4am to watch end of the live coverage). It is sort of helping me to motivate myself to get up when it is cold and I'd much rather stay in my warm bed. I've really missed being able to ride and can't wait to get back off-road but I've really got to look after my ankle so that is still a while off yet. I'll get there. This is a photo of me in the last event I rode in before my accident.

Yay! My exams are over! Now I just have to cross my fingers I pass... only 8 weeks until I get the results *groan* Studying in Sydney was fun and I found some great little restaurants and cafes as well as fun little boutiques. I went to the Taisho Chic, an exhibition at the Art Gallery of New South Wales showing mostly early 20th Century Japanese art. It was lovely. The only thing I won't miss is waiting for hours for my flights at the Sydney domestic terminals - sooooo very boring.

I'm in Sydney for the next few days... for a course *groan*. The upside is that I can go to Kinokuniya Book Shop (http://bookweb.kinokuniya.co.jp/indexohb.cgi?AREA=06) in the Galleries Victoria Building - a Japanese Book Shop with an awesome range of books both in English and Japanese AND I can have a hug mug of Ecuadorian hot chocolate with Orchid Oil from Max Brenner ... and maybe some of their amazing waffles ;) Plus my hotel is *conveniently* located only one block from KURA 3 - a home-style Japanese restaurant. Totally glass half full! Rach x

My friend Pete loves hippos and I found this on Bittersweet... http://bittersweetblog.wordpress.com/2007/03/12/hungry-hungry-hippo/ The granny in me wants to have a go at making it, but alas, I think I have too much work/study to do. Sorry Pete. Rach x
