Give me my song as I lay here to die.

As I hold up my head to down my Gin and Wine.

This world has been tough it plays no games.

It shows me for the fool as if it knows I have no shame.

With me laboring about breaking my back with pain my only gain.

I lifted up my eyes as I held my glass high.

Searching for the song that will make my blues scale away.

Alas, I hear the soft melody....

I sing it's sweet tune under my breath.

Then I lay down my head, and close my tearful eyes.

I think of that one precious moment as it slips by and by.

No pain, no gain I remember, but then I realize my life is only a game.

The Silent Sleepers


In the easy basking of the cold shadow and night we sleep waiting.

Our senses stir and new dreams arise giving us clarity to crystaline harmony.

Moonlight creeps in through the shadowy crevice giving us sight.

Faint light pours as it softens our eyes we wake our senses flare into a storm.

This night, this single cold soliloquy we speak to the night.

We stand on our haunches, and stretch our wings to shake the rest of sleep away.

Fangs beared, claws clenching we turn our eyes to the heavens from whence we fell.

Blood curling noise fills the air, as the brood stands strong letting hell sing their song of fury.

"We will sleep no more oh father in heaven;" they say as they lept up to take flight.

"This will be our time of vengance from our unmaking," the leader says as he pushes with a smile and a grimace.
