I don't think I'm afraid of not being able to sleep anymore. One good night, a whole lot of amazingly surreal and beatiful dreams, and I'm totally at ease. My only issue is this... where do dreams end and projected reality begin? How much of what's happening while we're asleep is a culmination of everything we've seen that day, and our entire sub conscience, and what of it is a more concious manifestation of hopes and desires that we aspire to in our waking lives? Then again... what if, aside from those two obvious conclusions, there's a third, seemingly irrational explanantion. Could it be possible for a persons mind to be so strongly fixated on an idea or goal that it actually creates its own realm somewhere between the mists of fantasy and tangable reality. Can we leave our bodies? Do we "rise" and walk about outside in the darkness? Do we take flight and soar off faster than the speed of light to far off places we've never travelled to and visit people we cannot reach? Can we actually feel their arms and smell their skin? Is there an astral highway? And if so, can we teach ourselves how to use it or is it a spontaneous gift given to those who's desires are the brigtest fires burning in the cosmos? I may never know the answers to these questions... but I'm definatly enjoying the ride.
