So the other day, i was sitting by the riverbank with my sister, and was growing very tired of having nothing to do. So i considered in my mind whether the pleasure of making a daisy-chain would be worth the trouble of getting up and picking the daisies, when suddenly a white rabbit ran very close by me. There was nothing so very remarkable in that; nor did i find it strange to hear the rabbit say to itself, "Oh dear! Oh dear! I shall be too late!" Only when the rabbit pulled a watch out of its waistcoat-pocket, did i start to find him curious. They say curiosity killed the cat, but my Dinah never had any trouble with it, and she gets into all sorts of adventures... so i found myself following this rabbit down a rather large rabbit-hole, never once considering how in the world i was to get out again.
So maybe my name isn't Alice, but we've got an awful lot in common... i am a very curious young girl, and often it leads me to trouble. i give myself very good advice, though i seldom ever follow it. The best conversations are the ones i have in my own head. I talk to animals, flowers, any type of creature, really. i believe it is possible to shut oneself up like a telescope, if only you can imagine it. i'm rather fond of fitting myself into small spaces. (My friends often wonder how it's done; you just have to imagine yourself into it!) If commanded to "Drink Me", i do so without hesitation. i memorize poetry for the fun of it. i recite on command. When i cry, i cry pools. Mirrors are only good for traveling through, and i can win any Caucus race. i'm no good at controlling my temper, though several caterpillars have advised me to do so. When i'm angry, i'm worse than any Duchess or Queen of Hearts. i rather enjoy riddles and tea parties. My grin is nicer than any Cheshire Cat's, and my logic is better than any Mad Hatter or March Hare's. i love croquet. i'm not much for mock turtle soup or orange marmalade, but i enjoy a good tart, as long as it wasn't stolen. i've slain a Jabberwocky once. and i know i'll be queen someday.
People often don't understand me. They say there's only nonsense in supposing things. But i imagine all sorts of things, and to me,
my world is magic.
