I curled up on the snuggly blanket on my master's bed and drifted in and out of sleep. My ears would twitch at every sound but I didn't bother opening my eyes to see what made that noise, I was too tired.

I was just about to fall into the land of dreams--dreams about chasing butterflies and other colourful bugs--when something caught my attention.

There was a skittering, little tiny paws scratching across the tile floor right over the side of the bed!

My back legs ever-so-slowly started rising up, my muscles tensed, and my slit eyes opened to reveal black lines that soon widened into excited balls.

Twitch, twitch, twitch, twitch--and then I was off chasing after the little grey mouse.

It was cold outside, but I was bored, so I left the house anyways and unexpectedly ended up sliding off the icy steps, falling into a great big pile of snow.

The snow crunched under my weight, clung to my fur, and left me shivering wet.

I didn't like it, didn't enjoy the feel of my limbs starting to freeze, so I climbed up from my self-made hole and scurried back into the house.

From now on I think I'll be staying curled up in bed instead of venturing out into the winter wonderland.
