The Puppies Have Arrived!

Today at around 11:45 Miss Wickett had a C-Section to get her babies out! The vet was worried she might hve trouble and so it was decided for her safety )(and that of the pups) that a CSection is the best option. And, so I went to the clinic with her and helped Wickett have her kids! The vet and the techs are AMAZING - but what a nerve wracking experience for me! Having Wickett put under and then having to revive the puppies (they are born under anesthetic so you must wake them up and get the fluid out of their lungs). They come out all limp and sopping wet and then you wrap'em up in the towel and rub for all you are worth until the puppies are screaming for you to stop (hey - gotta know they have good lungs!) All 5 babies came out heatlthy and were screaming within minutes of being born.

Wicket is doing GREAT! She is still a little unsure how to care for them but that is what I am around for! lol. She's gonna be great I just know it!!!

Hi Everyone,

I know I haven't been on in like a bazillion years... This wedding has taken over my life. LOL Not to mention that baby animal season has started so Ive been busy bottle feeding babies and making sure they are growing and learning all they need to know to be normal critters so they can make their adoptive families very happy! Ive attached a pic of the latest baby, dubbed HUGO (as in Boss) who came to me at just 2.5 weeks old and was adopted into his forever home last friday at 8 weeks old. The pic is when he first came to me unable to walk and his eyes barely open....

I must mention though, the other thing that has consumed me LOL PS I Love You... Ladies, if you need a movie to break your heart and make you appreciate the love in your life.. Please rent this... Guy.. It'll getcha some brownie points if you'll cuddle up and spend 2 hours with someone special taking this in.... I've watched it a whole mes of times, and I come away with something else I am grateful for every time...

Anyways, I hope you are all well, and enjoying your current lives and all that is in them..

EXCERPTS FROM A CAT'S DIARY

Day 983 of my captivity:

My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects. They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while the other inmates and I are fed hash or some sort of dry nuggets. Although I make my contempt for the rations perfectly clear, I nevertheless must eat something in order to keep up my strength. The only thing that keeps me going is my dream of escape. In an attempt to disgust them, I once again vomit on the carpet. Today I decapitated a mouse and dropped its headless body at their feet. I had hoped this would strike fear into their hearts, since it clearly demonstrates what I am capable of. However, they merely made condescending comments about what a "good little hunter" I am. Bastards! There was some sort of assembly of their accomplices tonight. I was placed in solitary confinement for the duration of the event. However, I could hear the noises and smell the food. I overheard that my confinement was due to the power of "allergies." I must learn what this means, and how to use it to my advantage. Today I was almost successful in an attempt to assassinate one of my tormentors by weaving around his feet as he was walking. I must try this again tomorrow -- but at the top of the stairs. I am convinced that the other prisoners here are flunkies and snitches. The dog receives special privileges. He is regularly released - and seems to be more than willing to return. He is obviously retarded. The bird has got to be an informant. I observe him communicate with the guards regularly. I am certain that he reports my every move. My captors have arranged protective custody for him in an elevated cell, so he is safe. For now...
