Traditionally I guess I'm more of a fangs larper. I don't play Vampire any more and haven't for a few years, but that's where I started out, and I did play for quite a few years. Just to make things worse - I only grew my goatee originally for my first vampire character. I didn't expect him to survive more than a game or two and fully expected to just have a weeks growth before each monthly game, then go back to being clean-shaven, but the beard-thing kind of grew on me and somehow worked its way into being part of my self identity.

Sometimes it feels like the game is playing you.

Okay, I've got my computer up and running now. Yes! tThey are goggles. Old-ish motorcycle riding goggles I think. I picked them up on ebay a few years back before the whole steampunk thing really took off. These days it looks like there's a much greater variety to choose from and your friend should have little trouble finding a pair to suit their tastes, so long as they're willing to shop online. It may well be different over there in the US, but down here at least that kind of stuff doesn't really get stocked in brick and mortar stores.
