Lets go to Jelly Fish Cove, two
by two, hand holding skips across heated white sand
jump into crisp pools that shimmer clear blues, and
glide around the billowing moon jelly’s floating folds of transparent skin
they glow, and we can dance, weightless dances,
spread out toes, circling legs
twist around them, holding hands,
its easy, two by two, just stay
clear of the stingers and everything
will be alright.

Shut Up!

Some people’s
(not you of course)
words are like balls
they vibrate along the tongue
out of place in the moist, confined
quiet of the mouth
they want to leap and bounce
they can’t be contained
and carelessly are thrown
dribbling out
its like a dodge ball nightmare
and what can I do
caught in their path
but duck
or try to duck
throw my arms up in protection
as I am pummeled
with words
oh so many words
that just fall
and roll about my feet
wasted
deflated

"If thou does ought for naught, always do it for yourself" Yorkshire Proverb.... translates into " If you do anything for nothing, always do it for yourself"

I can't figure out if this is smart advice or a selfish view point? One can argue that even when you do things for nothing, you still are rewarded because of the satisfaction you may feel of doing the act/thing.... so then you are doing it for yourself, but not necessarily getting nothing....
