Curtain Call
Smokes heavy on the water tonight,
Everywhere I look, I see.
Silence is the voice I use to chase,
My fears into the sea.
At the time of birth it’s written,
And so our purpose begins.
The reason we are living,
In a world that will tear our wings.
Then downward all will spiral,
‘Till the script says curtain call,
Your life will end completely,
And bear no meaning at all.
At all.
Lightning strikes above me,
Thunder pounding like drums in my ears.
And as the rain comes pouring,
I can’t find my tears.
Then downward all will spiral,
‘Till the script says curtain call,
Your life will end completely,
And bear no meaning at all.
At all.
Far away from heaven,
Death has signed my fears,
The fraying of the ribbon cut,
Has unraveled into string.
And still here in my madness,
I sing…
Then downward all will spiral,
‘Till the script says curtain call,
My life will end completely,
And bear no meaning at all.
At all.
