Movie review No.2

February..most of my friends will be watching Kung-fu Dunk and CJ7, but for me, got a free ticket for Elizabeth and watch Jumper with friends T_T...talking about CNY mood...hmm..=/

Movie: Elizabeth, The Golden Age
Review: If you are a fan of the England History, especially Queen Elizabeth's part, well, i it's recommended to watch. I am surprise because this show has never run through my mind that i will go to watch in the cineme. Its just coincidence that my brother has free tickets to watch it and I would say: Good Movie! The show does produce a few good strategies, improve my knowledge and definitely Cate Blancett did a very good job in projecting the image of Queen Elizabeth. A story about the fight between Spain and London and how politics comes about in the strategies to conquer an empire. Interesting indeed=)

Movie: Jumper
Review: Well, when i saw the preview i vow i will watch this movie in the cinema. Well, a bit on the disappointed when it comes to the storyline where its like playing cops and thieves, but the difference is the thieves(Jumper) have in-born supernatural power to beam themselves to another place and the cops(Paladin) have special equipment to trace the beam( or the electromagnetic field produced) and special high voltage electrical equipment to capture the thieves. But the graphics and sceneries are Good!Would not regret watching in cinema because the graphics that produce together with a surround sound system does gives a very good combinationdisable=)And with Hayden Christensen(Star Wars) and Samuel L Jackson in it, it does uplift the whole chemistry in the movie.
Rating: 3.5 out of 5 too.

* Rating is just based on individual's opinion. You may get different rating from your other friends though, because half of my friends say Jumper is bad and half of them say is Great!...well, it all comes back to your own judgment ya...

Movie review....

My view on movies that i have watched for the past 2 weeks.

Meet The Spartans:
Totally Hilarious and enjoyable...A total stress off movie which i find it very creative=D
I always have the thought that this kind of movie is not worth watching in cinema, but i think the crowd of friends that you watched with is important.
The movie is ridiculously funny and with my crowd of friend which part of the joker side (sorry bros)... It is one of the movie that i actually will call my friends to watch in the Cinema...
The movies that i could identify in it is definitely 300, Stomp The Yard, Ugly Betty, You Got Serve, American Idol, Shrek, and for characters wise...a lot of celebrities are involve too.
Quite a unique combination i should say and if you want a good laugh, this show can really cheer up your day=D
Therefore rating will be: 4 out of 5

Sweeney Todd:
I would say the Storyline is alright but the musical was a bit of disappointment.My impression of the show was cruel, bloody, ugly and scary. But it turns out to be bloody (yes), funny and a bit of tone deaf on the song. If they make the music more variety in sound i think it will be better, or they just make the movie with no musical at all.
The show is like Count of Monte Cristo i must say for storyline wise, but it just it comes in the form of a demon barber...and i find the Count of Monte Cristo was much more worth to watch ya.
But if you really are a fan of musical and really wanna give support to Tim Burton..then you may give a try to watch, every individual have its own taste.
But of course Tim Burton have many nice creation in the past, but sorry to say this movie is not the best compare to the Nightmare before Christmas and Corpse Bride ya.
Therefore the rating will be: 2 out of 5 (from me ya)

Venue: Decanter Hartamas

I have been to the section 17 branch for the mentioned restaurant cum pub. But surprisingly the environment in hartamas was much happening than i thought.
Branch: Section 17
Target Group: Working class and older citizen who is looking for a quite place to have a drink and food

Branch: Hartamas
Target Group: A pub where all youngsters within the age of 25-35 hang around to play games, loud music and drink non-stop because the promotion is buy 5 free 1 and one jug of beer is only RM29++( well, that's definitely worth the price.=D)

Just learn to play a drinking game and it almost took my live away T_T ( not that serious though) but really no that good drinker yet, what can you expect 6 jugs for 4 person..well, trust me is not funny @@"

Rules of the game

Things u need: A deck of cards with only numbers 1-10 ( no J,Q,K and jokers)
Few jugs of beer =p

Things to do: shuffle the cards and put the whole deck of it in the middle of the table.
Each player have to take turns to take the card and each number
that is taken by each player have some designated task for them to do.

Meaning of numbers:

Number 1-4 = Drink according to the number ( if number 1 means drink one gulp of beer)
Number 5 - Choose one of your friends to bottoms up the beer
Number 6 - Toilet card - is either u go to the toilet or keep it and you may escape the number7 and 8 task.
Number 7 - Question card - You may ask any question and that person who answer will have to bottom's up the beer
Number 8 - Dare card - You may dare your friends to do anything to each other or with other strangers around
Number 9 - Reverse Card - well, if your flow is going clockwise, once this card is taken, the flow change to anti-clockwise ya
Number 10 - Bad luck card - You have to Bottoms Up the beer yourself T_T

Rules can be change accordingly if you have more ideas that is more tricky@@

But overall. the crowd there is really open-minded and fun which makes the game very interesting.

So its a place to be recommended for people who enjoys drinking and relax ya=D

Talking about luck..Surprising it has been a repeated event for me for almost 2 years i have started working though..hmm

Continuing from the story before this, i had an accident,and it didn't really stop there ya. My computer broke down today and didn't know how long will i get to fixed it back...that's why, talking about jinx and everything, many people will say you are to believe 50% only and no to be so superstitious..but all events do string up together and i was beginning to think whether i was being put under a 'bad-luck' spell..hmm T_T

I was waiting untill my neck was as long as a baby giraffe for my aunt to return to her home in China so i could get back the whole room to myself and enjoy my reading, music, manga and anime ( especially i have just finish download my H2!)...

Therefore, this is my tale of frustration and thanks for your patience to be reading about it=D

A total hectic December 2007.

From Christmas to New year and the most tiring part is wedding. From morning till night, its like working on a weekday, there's non-stop activities and if you are to be familiar with chinese traditions, definitely an understanding nod will i be getting from you especially the wedding is in your family, wow, all the preparations that you have to go through can really earn u a degree in event management.

But all has come to a good end for last year ( sounds weird because its just a few days ago T_T) and couldn't say i have a terrific NY event but definitely an eye opener for me, from 4.30pm after work, i was hopping places from Midvalley, to Starhill for dinner, then to Kuchai Lama and lastly settle at Bangsar for countdown. All are common places for us, but for me the Kuchai Lama place that was introduce from my friend as " More happening than Scarlet (Cineleisure)" has totally stunned me since the moment i step into it.

Kuchai Lama - Venue: Cozy Pub in Golden Sun Club
Target group: Age: 8-60 years old
Environment: Well, it looks more like family gathering than a place to have fun... It was quite a lot of lighting everywhere and well, the music are a bit on the swing head which scares me and my girlfriends...it is my first time seeing my friends entering, after 5 minutes , it was ban from our list forever
Price: Definitely is reasonable since the uncles have to buy drinks for the whole family ya

But luckily our contingency plan work out in Bangsar, and had a great time... So Farewell 2007 and Welcome 2008^^

Y2008: Just after new year, maybe it will not be my lucky year though, drove my colleague's car to lunch and had an accident...Have to say goodbye to my bonus...but hope what the chinese saying says is true : "Lose Wealth to Shield Away from Chaos" (Por Choy Dong Joi) @@"
