She's still with you, yeah? If she is, then she must think that you're worth the pain and misery. I certainly feel that way with House.

And with that kind of pain... it's not something easily forgotten. I took forever to stop feeling the pain of three failed marriages. I still feel it sometimes. Pain like that doesn't go away.
