Okay, I have now seen "Mamma Mia" (twice), and found it thoroughly enjoyable. The movie is just a whole lot of fine. It's not great cinema, it's not the play, but it is just delighful from beginning to end. (And the 'Waterloo' part is worth the price of admission alone...)

Okay; as the biggest straight ABBA fan (I was 11 when Waterloo hit the charts, like I was supposed to understand sexual orientation then) I was all psyched to see the screening of "Mamma Mia" last night. After standing in line, the theater informs us that, even though we all have passes, the theater is already filled and has been so for more than half an hour before I got there. Not very happy with AMC Theaters today; and now I will have to wait patiently until Friday. (Yes I have already seen the play... twice!)
