my life: When i was 16 i was diagnosed with staphococyl menigitis, the sickness spread throughout my entire body, i was all but given up for dead even by the doctors, only through a life saving open heart surgury am i alive to wwrite this tale today.

I now have an artificial heart valve, in the course of 2 months i watched my dream go up in smoke. I couldnt play hockey anymore, i couldnt join the army, i was lost. Since then i have fashioned new dreams though, dreams that keep me strong.

at the age of 19 i was once more the victim of fate, i had a stroke. i was paralyzed on my left side and had little cognitive thinking. It has taken me 2 years to recover from this second ordeal. i still have no surface feeling on my left side to this day.

However i live a good life and i am always smiling, the point of this story isnt to make u feel pity or remorse for me, its to know in this last paragraph that i found my silver lining, no matter the hardships in your life, there is always a reason to smile:)
