As of late I have stepped back from the people around me and started to focus on things in the world that most of us know about but turn a blind eye to. Alot of what got my attention again was the video of the US Marine that threw the puppy off the cliff.

Well i have always said that people treat us the way we allow them and we have a choice. I have wakened up again to the plight of those who do not have a choice and have decided instead of wasting my time and energy that I will direct it to helping those who cannot help themselves.

So why am I stating this all here well. one of the causes that I am most passionate about is the mistreatment of animals and what better place to speak about that than on a site called Human Pets. I have taken the first steps in developing a foundation to help in the fight for animals, I have a voice and am going to start using it for those beings that cannot speak for themselves.

I have to make the rest of my life mean something and I have to make a difference and trying to help people.... well I really don't want to go there.

So I will not be around much excpet to update on how you might be able to help those not able to help themselves cos I have a couple of really important battles to fight so keep in touch but well its time for me to do something that actually matters and to help where it is not only needed but wanted.

So wish me luck and I will post the name of my foundation once the t's are crossed and the i's are dotted.

There was a girl who wandered alone in the world for far too long. She came across a prince dressed in paupers clothes, she was so taken with this kind and intelligent man she had to stop her travels to spend some time with him. Feeling a warmth eminating from deep inside her heart she couldn't leave his presence. She thought "I will just stay a while" not wanting to leave for fear of losing this feeling that was so strange to her. Something she knew she had felt before but couldn't remember when or why.

She stayed longer than she knew to be right, she knew that this was wrong, this wasn't the man she was looking for, he was different than her mind had told her would be right. She thought it best to move on and tried to get up and walk away but somehow she was powerless to move away, her feet feeling so heavy as she tried to leave. Very soon she realized it was not her feet that were heavy but her heart, so she turned to see if He was still there, and he was, holding out his hand, and asking her to come to him, to share more time with him. She took his hand and again sat beside him, not thinking anymore about the road she had been walking down, and noticing that the path had disappeared and a new one had opened, this new path being over the man's shoulder.

She asked "is that your path kind sir?" He answered "no, my path has also disappeared, that is our's that lays over there. I don't know where it leads. only that it is not a smooth road, it will be rocky, but together we can maneuver anything that we encounter as long as we are walking side by side. Will you walk with me my fair lady?'

The girl was afraid, very afraid, but she could see no other path and knew that his words were right, they could with focus and work move along, seeing new scenery, things she nor he had ever seen or experienced before. She could see in his eyes that he truly wanted to walk with her, but could also see that he only wanted that if it was what would make her truly happy. He waited for her to answer.

She said nothing but simply took his hand and looked at him with pleading eyes, eyes that said yes i will take a chance, please lead me I am not strong enough to walk next to you yet. He gently kissed her forehead took her hand and began down the path.

They have now walked for a year, she stronger now, and at his side. They have discovered things on this path that neither thought existed.

This tale does not yet have an end, though i know one day it will, though i trust the tale will end after a lifetime together, O/our life

I am not a vengeful person but then there are just these times that present themselves that are too good to ignore. They say there is Karma but so rarely does someone make a bone headed move that presents the opportunity to give the Karma kick back ourselves. So i sit and wonder is this a test of my ability to let the past go or is it the gods offering the the chance to give some payback. If i go ahead and do the deed to see someone who made me suffer so badly suffer themselves, will it come back and slap me in the face? And if so is it worth it? God what a dilemma.... angel on one shoulder devil on the other, who do i listen to OMG this is too distracting, and i have to admit the devil is winning. The decision has to be made soon so i don't miss the opportunity. hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

When we honestly ask ourselves which person in our lives mean the most to us, we often find that it is those who, instead of giving advice, solutions, or cures, have chosen rather to share our pain and touch our wounds with a warm and tender hand. The friend who can be silent with us in a moment of despair or confusion, who can stay with us in an hour of grief and bereavement, who can tolerate not knowing, not curing, not healing and face with us the reality of our powerlessness, that is a friend who cares.
