I was at a flea mall the other day, browsing through the book section, when I heard something that caused me to lose all remaining faith in humanity.

A little boy, probably 8 or 9, found a book that he wanted and tried to show it to his father. The father, straight out of a Marlboro ad, looked at the kid like he was a moron and said "Put that back, Or did you forget that I pay for the INTERNET every month".
The kid tried again a minute later, only to get the same reply.

What the hell is wrong with people today? So many kids are dropping out of high school..and a fairly large number of American adults are illiterate. "No child left behind" just makes it worse.

PLEASE DO NOT BREED IDIOCY. USE A CONDOM.

Yesterday was a perfect example of Murphy's Law...and I had several opportunities to state this by the time the day was over.

Anything that can go wrong...WILL!

-My two close friends broke up on very awkward terms. So..obviously we are no longer moving in with them and having an awesome time.
-Adam was driving to our house and was on our road when a car pulled out in front of him. His beautiful Rx7 is absolutely crushed. Has a good bump on the head as well. Bad week for the guy...his girlfriend breaks up with him and leaves the state and then a 15 year old kid in a van destroys a car he has put weeks and weeks of time into. I don't have to say that it sucks hard.
-So..then we drove out to Charlotte (a few hours late) to see Tiesto. The show was great except when I got the top of my head smashed by a guy's watch and almost passed out.
Oh, and also when we saw a certain ex-girlfriend there who was supposed to be out of state. Very..very..awkward. She's still my friend, though..so I guess I can't really judge. I will say, though, that running away from problems just puts distance between yourself and the things you want most.
-So we left the show...without an encore from Tiesto...and starting driving home. BAM. Ambulances and firetrucks started showing up before we even got on the highway. Some girl left the show drunk and hit a wall and FLEW out of her car and SMACKED the wall. So we sat there around 30 minutes..then got on the highway at around 3 or 4 am.
-Charles gets a ticket going 17 mph over the speed limit in my car..right before we get to our exit.

Did I mention that my feet were killing me the entire time? Didn't take many pictures...but will post one later maybe.

Working 14 hour days really makes me depressed. Wake up at 6:00 am...work until 9:00 pm...come home and sleep without dinner...wake up at 6:00 again...do it all over.

So...my 21st birthday was amazing.
The night of the 20th started the celebrations I guess. Went out with Katie and Kevin to College Hill and drank a few whiskey sours. Saw old friends.
The next night Katie and I went to NYPizza and drank lots of bloody marys and surfers on acid. Yum. Listened to David Bowie and the Cranberries. Got pretty drunk and went to the Carolina theater after-hours. Her friend works there and got us inside past the security guard. Climbed on the roof and slid down barefoot. Got to hear ghost stories and see where the homeless woman set the place on fire and subsequently died a few years back. Got to play around on the main stage while the curtain went up and down. Had major drunken delusions of grandeur. Went home went to sleep...with a dried up bouquet of (1) roses to remember the night by.
Next night...went out with Kevin, Charles, Adam, and Jen to an awesome Chinese buffet and ate so much I almost died. Then we played two games of laser tag. Came in first the first round and second the last round. Went home..watched a terrible movie..then went to sleep.

AND I am still celebrating.
