Fire
We used to speak of fire.
Once, before the years.
Of tests, and of burning,
And soothing rain of tears.
We spoke once of sharing,
Both lost in the dark,
And the candle you held for me,
As faintly glowing spark.
I rose from the ashes,
When you called my name.
I stand now in the desert,
Once again in flames.
For once we spoke of fire,
When we were lost and weak,
But we stood strong together,
And now we do not speak.
