Cyndi lauper's still got it. Saw her perform at the anniversary ball in the city last night. Great showing, she had the entire crowd going. Love her new songs as much as the old, I swear some of the crowd was crying during Time After Time.
Other than that, the DJs who played from 11-1 downstairs were great. A much chiller crowd than upstairs in the main performance room. I've come to the easy conclusion that ravers > concert crowd like last night. Drunks are sloppy and dumb. There was pretty much a herd of short people (self included) near the front that had to keep telling (tall) people to not try to push past us then stand directly in front of us. Also, stupid clubber drunks who are ready to fight anyone. Some jerks almost got in a fight right in front of me and the roommate, i got slightly knocked in the head when they started (more so than the usual tall people elbows. The roommate stopped them from really getting into it thankfully, but ugh.
Oh well, ended up being a good evening (favorites of the evening include Cyndi Lauper, Trevor Simpson, and Michelle Williams). Looking forward to seeing All American Rejects later this week.

Crazy city I swear. The roommate heard some yelling outside, so stepped out on the balcony to have a look see. Some crazy dude/druggie/whatever was jumping on cabs as they drove past. He ended up laying on the hood of one for a bit until the pissed off cabbie got out. He then jumped up on the very top of the car, jumping from side to side so they couldn't pull him off. Well eventually they did, and held him down until the cops show up. End total for one likely meth head = 4 cop cars, 1 paddywagon, and 1 ambulance. Oh, and it stopped a MUNI train for at least half an hour.
This is why we keep a pair of binoculars in the living room.
