Rule 34 is officially on the back burner until we can get one more member. In lieu of a ska band, the current three members of Rule 34 will be reforming into a new band, tentatively called The Adventurers. It'll be kind of a mish-mash of melodic music, with some indie, some rock, some funk, probably some acoustic ska (because we love certain songs from Rule 34), and whatever else we decide to throw in. We're just gonna play some music for a while. Soon, there will be recordings, myspace, shows, etc for you to listen to and enjoy! Stay tuned!

Someone said I needed more tales so here goes. I guess it's a points thing, blah blah blah. There actually is stuff to say, and I would hope people only thumbed my tales because they liked what I had to say.

Found a new member for Rule 34! He's either going to be guitar or bass, probably bass since I like playing guitar so much (and, by Thor's hammer, it's my band, lololol). Unfortunately it'll be a week from today (Monday) that we can practice. Also, another guy messaged me (on FB) saying he could play drums or sax, so as soon as he messages me back he's in. I played with this guy in another band, a shitty alt-metal outfit called "Decline of Autonomy". The other guy (Charles is his name) and I were easily the best in the room, he was on drums and kept a pretty solid beat. Never heard him play sax, but if nothing else we've got another good drummer in the mix. Add in a badass keyboard player (hopefully, depending on his self-confidence, aka "how drunk he is when I pressure him into a decision" XD), and you've got the ingredients for some skanktastic action happening in good ol' Arlington TX.

Oh, btw, some people may not know this, but Rule 34 recorded a practice onto video a few weeks back, and they are on youtube! My lovely sister posted them and here they are:

First one's called "Bobby's Song", second one is "Cell Phone", third is "Little Mexico". Sound quality sucks and there's no bass player (he didn't show, hence he got kicked), but it does give a little insight into the band's mentality. Also, the male lead singer is no longer with the band. He was too old (he thought) so he quit. You can only see his foot anyways. Justin (on drums) looks like he's phasing in and out of existence, due to the advanced special effects of a strobe light/bad webcam combo. And apparently I smoke crack rocks. Enjoy.

RULE 34 NEEDS SOMEONE FOR THE RHYTHM SECTION! That means a drummer, bassist, or guitarist. Technically keys are rhythm section too (piano, etc.), but we might have that covered. ANYWAYS if you live around the DFW area and play something we could use (or know someone that does), send me a message! We need one more player and we'll be off! PICK IT UP!

In other news, the ska store seems to be doing okay, but not many people are actually buying ska items, mostly just the fedora and Red Wine. Also, all customers are female (good), but most are over 30 (not-so good). WHERE DID ALL THE SCHOOLGIRL RUDE GIRLS GO?!? Lol, thanks to anyone who bought.
