Lifestyles of the rich and famous
Current mood: adventurous
Tonight I went on a drive around Gloucester, like I always to when I need some fresh air. On my drive I went through some old cds from back in the day. The CD's really reminded me of who I am and will always be. This blog isnt about the the lifestyles of the rich and famous but its more about the lifestyles of Jenna Erwin.
Some people ask me what do I like to do for fun or what do I enjoy, and I always give them this short answer about just hanging out, going bowling, ect. But now I think its time for them to really know who I am and what I really enjoy. The following is how I see my life and what I see in the little things I do every day or in my past.
1. Long Random Drives
This all started back in High School with cruising up and down Main St because there was nothing better to do, now its my favorite past time. I love just driving some random place with a friend listening to our favorite jams and not worrying about what is happening in our lives. With each songs that plays, each word we sing, each turn we take, is something different. I remember days of listening to Ludacris with my girls Tina, Alisha, & Ginny in Susanville, to the days of driving randomly around Sac town with Vicky because we couldn't figure out what to do, and days like now where Dee and me cruise the beautiful back shore to see the ocean crashing into mother earth. There is something about being able to go where ever you want and never be stopped that truelly makes me feel free and alive.
2. Concert Days
From my very first concert in San Francisco with Metallica to my most recent in Worcester with Flyleaf, there is something about them that gets me every time. When you first buy the tickets and you get that anxious feeling of if you are really going to see them, or if its not gonna happen. To when you leave and cant believe how amazing it was, you all sweaty, stinky, exhausted but hyper ass hell. The excitement of your body feeling every beat, the rush of millions of people around you feeling the same thing, the release of all your angry as you mosh against the crazy bitch next to you, the feeling that life at that moment isnt real but yet a dream.
3. Trips to the city
What city you may ask, well none in particular, its pretty much whatever city or place thats bigger then where I am at, at the moment. It could be Reno, Sac-town, San Fran, Oakland, Boston, or NYC. I love just randomly driving somewhere, hanging out with nothing planned, maybe grabbing a bite to eat at the local deli, playing a few games of black jack, checking out random boutiques, and thrift shops. I love being somewhere different then I normally am, especially when Im with someone that could enjoy the small inexpensive things like I do. I love how I can take my camera with me and capture things that I don't get to see everyday. It's like living someone elses life and maybe that life you will one day have if you enjoy yourself enough.
4. Traveling
I love to travel, going to new places I have never been or even places I have before. Whats not exciting and interesting about being away from your everyday life. I dont care if Im away on business or enjoyment, I love being away. Being able to eat at a good resturant, have a few drinks, take photos of the city, pretty live a different life and be a tourist. I hope one day I will be able to travel the world and see more beauty then I already have.
5. Long Walks
I love going out with a friend or someone new and just walking around the city, beach, or where ever I am, especially if its decent weather outside. It's so relaxing to be able to walk around with someone carry on an amazing conversation pretty much about anything. You learn so much when you are able to get to know someone, learn about the dreams, wants, thoughts, ect. Walks allow us to get on a deeper page of who we are and who other people are.
6. Baseball Games
This is my favorite thing to do in the world, and I truelly hope that my resting place will be at home plate at where ever the Oakland A's are at, even if its Fremont. LOL!!! My love of baseball started Game 2 of the playoffs Oakland vs Boston, when I was 19. I went to the game with my mom and when the jets flew over it had me hooked. Since then I knew that the one place on earth where I could get peace was at a baseball game. I love the smells, the atmosphere, the noise, everything about being at a baseball game. Just think of you sitting there with the cool wind against your face, watching hoping that your team, your player does what they need to do to win the game, yelling at the apposing team telling them what dirtbags they are, and eating your favorite baseball treat. There is nothing better, I mean nothing. Life at the ball park can never go wrong even if your all alone.
These are the 6 things in my life that I truelly love and enjoy doing. I know that they may not seem that great or amazing to you but its what I love... we all cant be the same. I guess this is my lifestyle and I love every bit of it. So for now Rock on and enjoy yourself... Thank you for reading...
