To all my friends on HP: I'm sorry I haven't been on HP much anymore. I have taken on many hours at work, I am attending summer classes, and my internet at home is basically non-existent. So it seems like I won't be on HP for a good while, especially for long stretches of time, b/c it is not often I can gain access to the internet.

Ha ha ha! I got myself a new name! Well, more like a secondary name, an alias if you will. Though I may make it legal in the future. My new name is 荒井純平(translates to Arai Junpei, Junpei being my first name). My very cute Japanese tutor helped me pick it out. Since my name (Jason Alonzo) doesn't in the least sound japanese, with came up with something that was close. And hey, I still have the same initals, (^_^). Junpei Arai put together doesn't really mean anything, but I can give the meaning of the specific kanji. 新(ara) means new, 井(i) means well, 純(jun) means pure, and 平(hei, pei when together with jun) means flat, level. My tutor felt that 純was the best one out of the ones we could find, and I think 平usually follows for the name. 新井, I think, was the name of an actor she liked, though possibly with different kanji. The second kanji in Arai is also used in her name. So, if you feel like it, anyone and everyone can start calling me Junpei (and if you know to, add the proper honorifics). Haha, I am one step closer to becoming Japanese!
