This poem is about the city inwhich i lived in til i was 15.. and it relates to my state.. smallest state, we all know each other.

many have moved
and some have stayed
those who are coming in
get ready, it will begin
we went to that birthday party when we were three
there was also that dance at the age thirteen
we might not of known that we had our connections
but age fifteen we shared some affections
who would of known
that you were the one
to of dated my friends cousins ex boyfriends sister
'like oh-em-gee u did more then just kiss her'
again who would have known i dated your second cousin
dates at the warwick mall, now thats just high school luvin
summers might have split teens up in all this mix
but guess who has a myspace now
and put what on it
are they seriously together or is it just a fling
i hope its not serious cuz shes wearing his ring
including that schools get caught up in this
since when is she a catholic school girl
I wonder if he can handle this
Oh wait that of course means nuthin
He was once geek and now he is frontin
Gettin older now I guess u could say maturing
Guess whos picture is up of them puking
I missed that party
But my friend said it was bomb
Heard that you and some bee-otch was getting it on
Graduated college
Moved away for some time
Got my life established livin in the city for awhile
Out with some colleagues, co-workers, and friends
Passed each other, no words were said

Someone wanted to introduce me to someone new
The times of nicknames have finally past
I had only known you as John Jackass
Wasn’t my fault that your last name rhymed with donkey
As back in the day I dressed really raunchy
He spotted my high school class ring
Said that he knew many people from there
That he had been friends with that years homecoming king
During our flirt full flare threw the air
Its amazing how now we’re married now
Got two kids, Oh God we aint raising them in that town
don’t want to ruin their chances at going to Brown
but maybe that’s just the key
oh well, I think we should just flee
