Lines leave traces inward
Vines spread through the vineyard
Sour grapes wrought not
The nectar eagerly sought
Time regresses through
Rime formed upon the old two
Former set of ourselves
Upon the shore delves
Seeking momentary respite
Peeking but not quite
Seeing the endgame
So it was, so the same
It has been so long
Since last I heard this song
I know I've done it all wrong
Still can't seem to belong
Forever cast about
Let in, yet left out
Not insecure no doubt
That idea holds no clout
If to start again
With no original sin
Where to begin
To let me back in
Thoughts sway back to an older day
When time was young or so they say
Held on too long to what was wrong
Led me a path where none belong
Utopia I sought yet never found
Purchase on it's hallowed ground
How could I have found the way
From this world comprised of gray
To a land where colors said to exist
When ever wandered I in mist
Still seek this perfect holy land
With blinded eyes and groping hand
