The Story of Hanukkah Harry
Once upon a time, in the magical land of New York, there lived a man who went by the name of Harold Weinstein. Most people knew him as Hanukkah Harry.
How did Harold get his nick-name?
When Christmas time hit the land of New York, Ol' Saint Nick would come down from the North Pole giving gifts to all but Jewish children.
Harold was saddened by this!
His people had a holiday too!
Why weren't they receiving a special visit like the other children were?
Naturally, Harold wanted to do something about it.
The next Friday night, Harold rounded up ten men from his temple and they began working on a way to start bringing joy to the Jewish children.
There was David Finklemeyer,
who was in charge of the supplies, such as food and decoration.
Bernie Goldstein,
who was a wiz at everything electronic.
Steven Schwartz,
who had great skill crafting toy cars.
Mike Rosenberg,
had a wonderful fashion sense and was very talented at designing clothing.
Ralph Kanter,
knew everything there was to know about making board games.
Howard Guttman,
who was a walking library and wrote all of the books (but not this one).
Jason Gelfman,
was very athletic and was a sporting goods professional.
Adam Miller,
who was incredibly artistic and made everything crafty and colorful.
Zack Rothman,
had a talent building houses and used his skill to construct blocks.
Finally, Issac Jacobs,
who modeled his own dolls, action figures, and stuffed animals.
They began working right after sunset Saturday night.
Slowly, they rounded up enough to give each Jewish child a present for each night of Hanukkah.
When they were finished, they piled up all the presents on Harold's flying bicycle.
Harold then began his nightly delivery of presents to each Jewish household, by simply knocking on the door.
Each child he gifted lit up with joy at the sight of Harold's generosity.
"Thank you Hanukkah Harry!"
The children would say with much delight.
"Do not thank me," he said
" Thank the miracle of Hanukkah!"
That is the story of Hanukkah Harry.
The End
