i just wrote this.. what do you think?
"Good Morning"
"Good morning sleepyhead." The words that are said with more meaning and love than one person can ever hope to know.
While she wipes the sleep from her eyes, he ca't help but wipe the tears from his cheek. The subtle reality that he has to wake up without her drowns his heart in sorrow. To hear her voice, see her face, just a glimpse of these give him hope for tomorrow. Times stops for a brief moment granting him the chance at a slight smile, turning back to a faint memory that his ever-bleeding heart has on file.
The sunrise threatens to invade the solitude of the moment yet the soft touch of her skin, the intoxicating scent of her hair, the heart-piercing stare in her eyes, all of the things that make her more majestic... These taunt the very core of his being.
A drop of dew cascades down the windowsill mimicking the color that fades from his clammy skin as reality sets in and the void that is now his mind urges him to forget what once was and what is now. Not even the future gives him joy because joy itself has stolen the fleeting feeling of emotion.
What does life offer to a man in a coma? Can he say that he loves with the twitch of his thumb? Can he smile with unconditional love and gesture to his lover that she's the one and only? All that this alien to society can do is hope for a second chance. A chance to give his all. A chance to wake up next to the radiant flower that in turn picked him from the field of thorns that is this world. One chance to live, breath, and throw aside the shackles of loneliness and stare in the face of fear, ever-vigilant to stand up from the perilous fall. No pbstacles can block the way of the man who has hope and faith. Only time and the pursuit of true happiness can beckon him to wait.
A yawn echoes through the stle air and a stifled but not unfamiliar thought strolls by memory lane to make a pit stop once more. Like before, this entity asks a simple but complex question, "You had it all, you lost it.. You should've tossed it and forgot it to remember no more, why won't you quit?!"
With the blink of an eye an unrestricted reply comes forth and this man, no longer in turmoil bodly answers, "Because someone needs to tell her 'Good morning' tomorrow".
