When you place comments people can click on the thumbs (I just did) and you get ten points per thumb. Place more comments or tales and people will click them...also you can join herds where you ahve to thumb a lot of posts but then get to earn a lot of points quickly....I do this in the HP bank machine (you can get to that from my profile) - takes a while to do all the thumbing (like sometimes 20 minutes), but then you can earn about 10,000 points within less than 24 hours.
Also sending invites to join HP earns points (click at the top of page where it says earn 100 per invite).
