Hmmmm tales?, I'll just write match reports:

Everton v Blackburn Rovers, Goodison Park 16/08/2008, 3-2 to Blackburn.

We were absolutely shite in the first half giving the ball away cheaply, they're first goal was class- shit defending from us but a quality curving strike from Dunn.
Towards the end of the first half we started playing better and Arteta's equiliser in 1st half stoppage time was absolute class, it was a free kick at the left of the peno box at a tight angle to the goal which he drilled it home.
Second half was better, we came out fighting, but still were giving the ball away cheaply at times,
Yaks goal was class aswell, he picked it up in midfield passed it out to the left to Arteta who was making a run, Arteta took it down the line and put a perfect cross in- which Yak met with a powerfull header.
Unfortunately Blackburn equilised within a minute, an over the top ball found santa cruz who somehow beat Lescott with ease (more of a fuck up by Lescott really), and slotted it past Howard.
I did'nt see their 3rd cos i really needed a piss an couldnt hold on.
The positives from the game, apart from our class goals were that the new kids were good, Rodwell was a bit rusty, but looks like he has the potential of bieng a good player, i reckon he just needs more match experience, Baxter on the other hand looked sharp and came close to scoring a header which just went over the bar.
Yobo played well i thought aswell and Arteta looks like he's back to his best nearly.
Its West Brom- away next week, lets hope we are better then (an hopefully have a new signing or two).
